friday the 13th!

today was certifiably the first rainy day of fall 2020!! *

it was cloudy all this morning, briefly sunny, then transitioned into a day full of light rain. how nice!! i've missed different weather since california can sometimes just be sunny all the time. i think that's definitely added to my sense that time is melding together/not real during covid.

my head isn't exactly empty, but it's one of those days that i'd rather get under my blanket and watch seinfeld than write a blog post that i'd actually be proud of. maybe soon~

i'll be heading to LA tomorrow for about a week for a lowkey visit with my friend and his cousin. we all live alone separate from this, so i think it will be pretty non-risky + with the news of planes basically being well ventilated + an empty middle seat, i'm not super worried about covid. i'll definitely get a test when i come back tho!! (and flu shot, oops)

anyway, here's a selection of what i've been listening to recently:

1. "What Have We Done To Each Other?" - Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Gone Girl [Music from the Motion Picture], 2014)

2. "Yearning for Your Love" - The Gap Band (Gap Band 3, 1980)

3. "I THINK" - Tyler, The Creator (IGOR, 2019)

4. "Neu Roses (Transgressor's Song)" - Daniel Caesar (Freudian, 2017)

5. "Hate CD" - Steve Lacy (Apollo XXI, 2019)

6. "Date 2" - RADWIMPS (Your Name., 2016)

to my dear, dear readership of < 10,

i'm confident that all of you have already voted. if you haven't, please do! and yea, we all know that the undertone of all calls to "go vote" is "go vote [for joe biden]" or at least "go vote [for anyone but donald trump]."

in any event, here's my election day playlist:

1. "Star Spangled Banner (Live at Woodstock)" - Jimi Hendrix (Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix, 1997)

2. "Impeach the President" - The Honey Drippers (Impeach the President - Single, 1994)

3. "We the People..." - A Tribe Called Quest (We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service, 2016)

4. "The World is Yours" - Nas (Illmatic, 1994)

5. "Nazi Punks Fuckk Off" - The Dead Kennedys (Plastic Surgery Disasters / In God We Trust, Inc., 19810
